OurThings offers a means by which our members can share their homes with friends and family. In some cases, this may include access to the public facade that they offer to the community. In other cases, a member may be given access to semi-public or even private spaces–as well as the things contained within. This could take the form of a child whose dorm room you are helping to furnish, a summer house that you share with a sibling, a parent whose estate you are helping to organize and from which you might inherent specific items, or even a living space that you enter virtually for a book club or fundraising event. 

While a member might begin with access to the homes of their immediate friends and family, over time they may discover homes of other members who they are not directly connected to or even celebrity homes that inspire them. In these cases, a member can request an introduction from a mutual connection. In the case of celebrities and influential designers, the member may elect to sign up for a paid monthly subscription that gives them access to the interior of these spaces as well as associated lifestyle advice.
