OurThings holds the copyright to the design of the platform (excluding all images held by 3rd parties). This design includes the functions offered to members (particularly those described and offered under “explore and discover” and “journey” as well as the functions that these primary features lead to) and the specific flow and connection between functions. In addition, it includes the specific sets of things that we have curated.

The copyright of photographs of inspiring places are held by the authors of the photographs or are within the public domain. By presenting these images, our intention is to showcase the extraordinary spaces that they capture, increase awareness of these homes, and encourage visitors to purchase tickets and visit them in-person. As is the case with the source of these images, they are offered free of charge and accessible to anyone who searches for the specific inspiring place.  In order to streamline the virtual experience of these homes, we have not highlighted attribution. 

In addition to images of inspiring places, we have also included images of things for sale by the various brands we are highlighting. The copyright for these images is held by the brands and designers that have designed and manufactured them. In presenting these images, our intention is  to drive sales of the things represented in the image for the brands and designers. As such, we hope that by showcasing these images, we will benefit the business of the copyright holders.

Throughout the site, we have also included generic images to illustrate the ambition of the company. These images are generally drawn from usable under a creative commons license or the attribution could not easily be identified.

If you are the author of any photograph and would like specific attribution or us to create a link to the original photograph or your business or body of photographic work, please contact us at info@ourthings.io and we would be more than happy to accommodate your request. If you would not like your work to be featured, we would also be happy to remove the image.
